A National Poverty Reduction Strategy and the Role of Donors

Poverty rose sharply during the 1990s, with nearly one in three families living below the poverty line. Recognizing this urgent challenge, SPDC presents a comprehensive national poverty reduction strategy that goes beyond short-term alleviation programs. This paper highlights the structural causes of poverty, regional disparities, and vulnerable groups, while underscoring the critical role of international donors in supporting sustainable, long-term solutions.
