Report of Interactive Discussion Session on Integrated Energy Policy Formulation with Emphasis on Social Dimensions

SPDC launched a series of interactive discussions aiming to bridge divides among policymakers, academics, civil society, and business leaders, fostering consensus on issues of social progress and human development. Over six months, themes include the implementation of the 18th Amendment, women’s economic empowerment, the impact of the security crisis on human development, and the future of think tanks in Pakistan. Proceedings of each session are published as policy papers for dissemination at federal and provincial levels. The inaugural talk, held in Karachi in November 2012, focused on integrated energy formulation with social dimensions, setting the tone for constructive, forward‑looking dialogue.
