Returns to Education: The Case of Fertility

This paper examines the relationship between education and fertility in Pakistan, highlighting how schooling influences reproductive choices and demographic outcomes. Using empirical evidence, it demonstrates that higher levels of education—particularly for women—are strongly associated with reduced fertility rates. The findings underscore the broader social and economic returns to education, reinforcing its role as a key driver of sustainable development.
